Very beautiful and large lamp with sober and elegant lines with its turned wooden base (maybe mahogany) (with dark varnish) decorated with two brass rings (on the base and at the top of the base). It is operated by a perfectly functional "pull" switch. It is equipped with its large cylindrical lampshade, original I think. It is from the Unilux brand, a company that still exists today, and this is a guarantee of quality. Although it has an Art Deco style from the 50s, this lamp dates from the 70s or 80s, and its electrical system (socket, cable, plug) is therefore up to NF standards, complete and in perfect condition. The lamp base is in good condition, no marks on the wood, the gilded brass rings are patinated, a little less flashy than originally I imagine (if you want it very shiny, you can certainly restore its shine by rubbing it with very fine steel wool). The lampshade (which I tried to clean as best I could) shows signs of its age and use: on the covering, small stains (small visible dots, and a larger but less visible one), slight dents, an area of abrasion. On the frame, the 3 branches and the central ring show superficial corrosion. It is therefore still usable as is if you are not extremely careful but can especially serve as a base to make a new lampshade to your taste (by you or by a lampshade maker). This lamp measures 63.5 cm in height (with the very slightly conical lampshade which measures 37 to 40 cm in diameter and 25 cm in height), the base alone measures 39 cm in height (46 cm with the socket) and a diameter of 18.5 cm at the round base, the cable measures 185 cm in length. I would like to point out that in the photos the lighting seems stronger at the top than at the bottom of the lampshade, this is due to the bulb I used for the photos (which has a silver coating on its upper half).
