Exceptional Bar Cabinet in Bordeaux Lacquer & Brass - Eric Maville (1970)

Sublime and rare high cabinet forming a lounge bar, an iconic creation by designer Éric Maville from the 1970s (a high-end piece in the vein of creations by Jean-Claude Mahey or Maison Roméo). This display model stands out with its superb finish in glossy burgundy lacquer, beautifully highlighted by profiles and trims in gilded brass. A true centrepiece for your interior, it opens at the front to reveal a luxurious interior space entirely dressed in mirrors. Its ingenious sliding smoked glass top opens and extends forward to provide an elegant and airy cocktail preparation surface. The upper level is equipped with several original glass shelves for placing glasses and decanters, all enhanced by integrated interior lighting (original and functional electrical system). The "EM" monogram in solid brass is prominently displayed on the front, attesting to its authenticity. Condition and authenticity: The piece is in very good overall condition. The structure is perfectly sound, the alignment of the doors is impeccable, and the bar mechanism operates with great fluidity. True to its history and authenticity, it shows slight signs of normal use, as well as a few micro-scratches and discreet surface marks due to its vintage age (visible from certain angles of light). These marks in no way detract from its stunning aesthetic presence and give it a sought-after authentic patina.
