This superb antique dessert service is made of Sarreguemines earthenware. This set is composed of 12 dessert plates and two pie and biscuit dishes. They are decorated with polychrome chinoiserie scenes on an ivory background: stylized plants and elements of Asian architecture adorn this service. The marly are decorated with friezes of flowers and silkscreened motifs, enhanced with a hand-lustrated finish. With a delicate "bamboo" shape, the earthenware is molded into the shape of bamboo on the handles. This set is signed with the brand with the brown coat of arms "Opaque Utschneider & Cie" and "Sarreguemines Digoin" and numbered "7K 15 MB" "C". It dates from the Sarreguemines production period between 1900 and 1930. In good general condition, this service shows signs of use: 4 chips, cracks and underglaze stains on 6 plates, as well as scratches and cracks in the enamel in general. Dimensions: 12 plates of 18 cm in diameter, 1 dish of 25 cm in diameter, 1 square dish of 23 X 26 cm.
