side table in Popular Art style with systems

Charming accent piece in solid oak – Popular Art style with systems. Unique and highly singular period model in solid oak, resulting from traditional craftsmanship. This hybrid and clever piece stands out with its ingenious double-opening system, ideal for optimising small spaces with plenty of character. The upper part consists of a box with a lift-up lid (reminiscent of the aesthetic of traditional salt boxes), with a lovely cream-white patina inside. The central column, adorned with elegant beaded mouldings, conceals a door that opens to a vertical cupboard. The whole rests on a base with four small feet. Both a decorative stele, side table, and secret storage, it will fit perfectly in an entrance for storing keys and mail, or in a living room as an original end table. Overall vintage condition is good. The wood has a superb natural patina. There are some minor signs of use and stains in the upper box that testify to its history and enhance its authenticity. Dimensions: 58 x 48 cm with a height of 66 cm.
