This magnificent bouquet signed ARDISS is the work of an exceptionally talented artist. Her name, probably a diminutive of ARDISSON Yolande, is noted in the artist's dictionary as having been born in 1927 in Bueil (Eure) and passed away in 2024. She regularly exhibited at the autumn salon and the National Fine Arts exhibition traditional figurative canvases (a notice will be provided to the buyer). This painting suggests a strong emulation of Bernard Buffet, the famous painter exhibited in the Gallery on Avenue Matignon, through its style. Technically, it is an oil on canvas created with a knife, depicting sunflowers and stylised birds of paradise. The vase in azure blue evokes glazed stoneware made in small artisanal factories like those in Pierrefond. The somewhat strict treatment recalls cubist influence but remains elegant. A painting that could be enhanced by daring to use an orange wall or a colour that will highlight it. Ideal for a modern interior. A magnetic painting of a quality that places it at the forefront of the works created by the artist. (70 cm X 61 cm overall) (canvas: 65 cm X 46 cm) free delivery in Paris.
