Charming small chest of drawers in Louis XVI style, made of solid mahogany and mahogany veneer. Its top features a white Carrara marble, surrounded by a brass gallery with an openwork overhang. At the top, this piece opens at the front with four identical drawers, known as recessed, with a slightly moulded frame. Each is fitted with a Louis XVI bronze handle, with the original lock in working condition. The lower part has doors made up of small grooved vertical mahogany elements at the front. They are equipped with a working lock and key, opening to reveal an interior fitted with a shelf. The solid mahogany uprights are adorned with wide stopped fluting and end in a small turned spindle foot with a brass sabot. The modest dimensions and storage options offered by this chest of drawers will allow it to fit easily into various rooms of your home. Period: late 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Finish is solely waxed.
