Mid-century modern vase, beige glass, designed by M. Jakubas, Poland, 1970s

A vase designed by Michał Jakubas for the Krakow Glass Institute is an example of Polish artistic glass from the 1970s. Made of flesh-toned glass, with a subtle transition to warm amber at the bottom, it retains the classic form of the era – low, bulbous, with rounded sides. Two transparent, hand-applied handles with more massive bases emphasize the craftsmanship and allow the vessel to be easily moved. The surface is smooth, mirror-like, without decorations or patterns – the whole focuses attention on the purity of the silhouette and the quality of workmanship. No cracks, chips, or significant signs of use. Condition: very good – an authentic collector's item. This vase speaks the language of its time – the years when Polish utility glass explored organic shapes and subtle tones. Its form and flesh color whisper about the search for harmony between nature and craftsmanship: as if it wanted to capture the impression of light passing through amber.
