Pretty figurative decanter and advertising piece for Cointreau. This one was published in the 70s, as a remake of a famous sculpture by the French artist Jean Mercier. It looks a bit like a piccolo or a bellhop, dressed in a uniform that suits the 1920s and 1930s. This item was made in France, by Porcelaine de Limoges. It has the original cap on the bottle (if not empty). The statue is in excellent condition. Note a small spot on the black "headband", which seems to have been retouched. Or it's a defect in the original glazing. Also a very small defect on one of the feet. Dimensions: 28 centimeters high (about 11").
