Old table lamp in bronze and brass gilded with satyr and snake

Old and exceptional lamp in bronze and brass gilded with satyr head and snake in good condition. Elegantly shaped, probably linked to mythology, the grimacing satyr is threatened by the seprent wrapped around the volute with the leafy base. The beaded base support ends in acanthus leaves and receives an electric copper bayonet socket on which is mounted a white glass tulip molded in the shape of an open rose flower. Socket for bulb type b22 (not supplied as a precaution). Electrical wires, switch and socket in good condition and functional. Round foot with gadroons with molded base. Height 378 mm X 137 mm. Weight 1270 g. Lamp infrequent on the market and original.
