Tobacco box

This pretty tobacco box in thick turned wood with a beautiful grain and almost golden reflections must date from the 60s or 70s. Under the lid it has a small slot that can be opened and which contains a small foam pad, I imagine that this is used to regulate the humidity in the box (but I won't know how to use it exactly). It is in very good condition, no cracks or chips in the wood, just some minimal marks from time and use, barely visible. It measures 16 cm in height, 11.5 cm in diameter and weighs 550 g.
