Spanish ceramic pitcher from the mid-20th century, hand-shaped, hand-painted, and signed by Domingo Punter, a striking fusion of medieval tradition and modern art. Produced around the 1960s–1970s in Teruel, Aragón, it features the classic palette of the Mudejar revival in copper green and manganese black on a white tin glaze. Bold geometric cartouches frame stylised eyes, leaves, and heraldic motifs, evoking the Gothic towers of Aragón while resonating with a distinct modern graphic sensibility. The pitcher is made from the characteristic reddish clay of Teruel, with its terracotta body still visible at the base. Each motif has been hand-painted, and the base bears the inscription "Domingo Punter / Teruel / R. 18". The presence of his full name, rather than just the workshop mark "Punter", confirms the direct authorship by the master himself. Such examples are rarer and highly sought after by collectors for their authenticity and provenance. As a piece of decorative art, this ceramic pitcher embodies both history and design. More than just a utilitarian vessel, it reflects the enduring elegance of Spanish ceramic heritage, reinterpreted for the mid-20th century.
