1910- large chinese qing porcelain urn (1644-1911) painted in faux-bois dating from the early 20th century with a naturalistic wood grain imitation glaze in various tones of reddish-brown enamel. Straight wooden slats with pronounced grain are held together around the neck and base by woven bamboo hoops. The white porcelain body has been enhanced with a brown wash. The enamel imitates the veins of a light wood. The urn has a rounded two-lobed body that evokes the shapes of a female body. Under the base there is an apocryphal stamp "made in yongzheng". Date of production 1910. The faux-bois period lasted only a few years. Production is therefore limited. Dimensions: height 31 cm, width 24 cm, depth 11 cm, weight 2.8 kilos. The urn is in good condition. The vase was mounted as a lamp. Two small restorations by a professional restorer are invisible. There was a small chip at the base and the hole in the electric wire. Photos before restoration are available on request.
