Pistillo Light by Valenti, Italy, 1969. Sculptural Pistillo wall or ceiling light designed by Studio Tetrarch for Valenti in 1969. A true icon of Italian Space Age design, this statement piece is composed of radiating tendrils in silver-painted plastic, each ending in a smooth rounded tip that diffuses the light from within. Its bold organic form resembles a starburst or flower in bloom, making it both functional and highly decorative. One tendril missing - hardly noticeable and doesn’t detract from its visual appeal. Some discoloration on the back, not visible when mounted.
