Parisian oak wardrobe

This parisian wardrobe or hosiery is made of solid oak and dates from the 40s/50s. It offers dimensions particularly suitable for our modern interiors, being narrow, shallow and rather small. It does not open a door mounted on hinges in original brass. The glass is also original, we detect some small air bubbles here and there, relating to the method of manufacture of glass of the time. The uprights and the headband (upper part) are fluted. Note the beautiful cornice as well as the slightly flared shape of the front feet which gives it a certain stature. The lock and key work and the door opens onto 4 rack-rack-mounted wooden shelves (so fully adjustable). We see that the right pillar has played with time (probably at the time when it was used in an apartment without central heating where temperature variations caused this kind of thing on solid wood) but this gives it more charm than anything else because it does not alter its solidity or stability.
