The boucherouite carpet is a moroccan berber carpet originating from the atlas mountains. Boucherouite carpets are handmade with recycled wool, pieces of used clothes, pieces of old curtains... As you will have understood, it is the ecological berber carpet. It expresses in color the mood or history of the weaver, like all berber carpets. Weaver families have always passed on their know-how from generation to generation in the purest tradition. It is by necessity to make carpets to protect from the cold but for lack of wool that boucherouite carpets were born. Entirely handmade by women, on wooden looms, a carpet takes several weeks to make. This product is handcrafted and may have imperfections.
