This freestanding wall unit is a true example of scandinavian mid-century design at its best. It is an entirely modular shelving and storage system called “ergo de lux” which was designed by john texmon for blindheim mobelfabrikk and made in norway in the 1960s. The ergo wall unit in this unusual size is extremely rare. Its unique combination with a spacious lower sideboard featuring drawers and two inner shelves hidden behind sliding doors makes the piece highly functional. The upper cabinet is divided into two compartments, with a single shelf placed in the wider one. On the shelf, originally used for displaying plates in the dining room, you can place your favorite photos, paintings, books or vinyl records, and the sideboard will be perfect for setting up audio equipment. The design of this wall unit allows you to adjust each component according to your needs. Ergo features an exceptionally elegant assembly system. The holes in the rails are beautifully shaped, enabling an intuitive arrangement of components in any configuration. Each of the parts can be placed lower or higher. You can also interchange them if you like to. The set consists of: Bottom cabinet with drawers/sideboard: h: 47 / w: 117 / d: 42 cm (internal height of drawers: 9 cm) Upper cabinet: h: 43 / w: 117 / d: 21 cm  Shelf: w: 117/ h: 14 cm. 2 teak supports, each 203 cm. Brass pins and dowels. The wall unit has been clened and rejuvenated with danish oil. It is in fantastic condition. All doors, drawers and montage mechanisms work properly and smoothly.
