19th century ticking canvas cushion with stripes, 80cm mattress

19th-century bolster cushion filled with white down, covered in charcoal black ticking, a thick herringbone canvas so tightly woven that it doesn't allow even the finest down to pass through. This cushion has been steamed and air-dried, a process that can be repeated at 40, 60, or 90°C if necessary. Very good condition with only a few very minor marks from storage that will disappear. Diameter 20cm, length 80cm. It takes any desired shape and regains its shape immediately. Original closure sewn with tiny stitches.
