Large red blown glass vase, Japanese KURATA, 1970s, Made in Japan

Magnificent hand-blown art glass vase by Kurata Craft Glass. This is a beautiful collector's item, produced by the Joetsu Crystal Glass Company in Japan in the 1970s. Its silhouette is enhanced by the drawn glass technique, known as Swung. This artisanal process stretches the hot glass to form a particularly tall, flared, and undulating neck, ensuring that each piece retains its unique character. The vase is made of double-layered coral red and white glass, creating a luminous gradient. It is in excellent condition (no chips or cracks) and ideal for collectors of vintage Japanese glassware.
