Scandinavian glass candlestick "ice glass" – Finnish design – 1960s

Pressed glass candle holder in Finnish style, made in the 1960s–70s. The glass features a pronounced "ice glass" texture, reminiscent of melted ice and frozen water. This type of work is emblematic of post-war Finnish design, particularly in the tradition of Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala. A sculptural yet functional object, designed to enhance the light of the flame. This candlestick is suitable for standard candles; its opening has a diameter of 2 cm and a depth of 2.5 cm. The candle holder is in very good condition.
