Commodity -secretary late 19th century Charles X Restoration style with 4 drawers. The top drawer has a flapper to access a secretary part with 4 small side drawers (a missing button) and a larger drawer in the middle, most likely speckled maple. Presence of a few stains of black ink, worn and holed underhand leather in some places. The three bottom drawers are nice in size (H14 cm, l 100 cm, P 46 cm). Lacks a lock input (which I do not despair of replacing), no key; some brass drawer buttons appear to have been changed or moved; small holes at their side have been plugged (not visible because in the same hue as the wood) Elegant acanth leaf mouldings at the top and bottom of both corners of the façade. A few veneer jumps at the stops (not visible) Original light grey marble, some stripes. The low belt of the dresser offers a "secret" space (H12cm) and accessible only by removing the last drawer entirely. This elegant and practical piece of furniture would easily fit into an entrance, a living room, a bedroom... I try to describe in all the best and honesty the peculiarities (negative or positive) of this object, however do not hesitate to contact me if you wish for further clarification or photos that I could have oised; I would be happy to respond as soon as possible.
