Set of 12 Empire armchairs – Solid oak – Gondola backrest

Set of twelve Empire / Neoclassical style armchairs in solid oak, featuring a honey-golden patina of antiquity. The curved backrest, known as 'gondola', is centred with a fan-shaped relief-carved support. The armrests curve in volutes ending in carved rosettes, resting on console supports. The seat, slightly trapezoidal with a rounded backrest, is upholstered in a brick-red and white striped fabric in the Directoire-Empire style. The front legs are straight and square with a slight curve; the back legs are sabre-shaped, typical of the Empire style. Some natural wood cracks and a patina of use testify to the piece's antiquity, without notable depreciation. The fabric can be replaced upon request by the seller's workshops. Overall condition is very good. Dimensions per chair: H. 81 cm × W. 62 cm × D. 52 cm – Seat height: 47 cm – Weight: 10 kg. Delivery to be arranged.
