Letassey 58 lower right on the front and 57 on the back. Born in 1933 in Dangy, Manche, Marcel Letassey has been painting and sculpting since 1952. After 38 years in Brittany, in the Morbihan department, as Director of the Federation of Family Homes, he retired and now spends most of his time in his native region, while maintaining ties to Brittany. An amateur painter and sculptor, Marcel Letassey has produced more than 700 paintings, numerous sketches, and about 100 sculptures. Two very different genres have always coexisted in the works of Marcel Letassey: landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, executed in soft pastel and oil, and surrealist compositions bordering on abstraction in oil or acrylic. His works have been featured in some forty exhibitions, notably in Vire, Coutances, Nantes, Pornichet, Vannes, Ernée (every year for the past eight years), Saint-Lô, Argentan, Le Mans, and other locations.
