Hi-Fi furniture in smoked plexiglass and aluminium, Eric Maville

Hi-Fi unit in smoked plexiglass and brushed aluminium, attributed to Eric Maville, France, 1970s. Structure in tinted bronze/smoked plexiglass, aluminium profiles on the front and sides, black supporting structure. Clean lines, elegant transparency, and a bold Space Age vocabulary. The functionality is complete and original. The top shelf is hinged and lifts in two parts to accommodate a turntable. Two large shelves hold an amplifier and tuner. The lower section, closed by a sliding plexiglass door, conceals vertical compartments for record storage. Note some wear on the edges of the shelves and micro-scratches on the plexiglass.
