Elegant MCM modernist coffee table from the 1950s–60s, composed of a ribbed glass top with an organic, slightly curved shape, evoking a boat or a leaf delicately placed on the structure. The very fine black tubular metal structure supports the top while maintaining an impression of lightness and transparency (reconditioned black metal). This rare piece fits perfectly with the spirit of post-war French industrial design, and recalls the airy and functional lines of the work of Jacques Hitierou Pierre Guarchie although the attribution cannot be confirmed. Ideal for a mid-century interior, an architect's house or a decor mixing brutalist design and the softness of natural materials. Dimensions (to be completed): H35 X W102 X D45. Condition: good vintage condition. Glass with light wear related to its age, stable structure and just the right patina. Period: circa 1950–60. Materials: Chrome screw caps.
