Olivier Mériel is a Norman photographer who has been practicing for about forty years. He has made his specialty of the contrasting lights of Normandy or Brittany, which he always uses in black and white film with shots taken with a large format camera. The prints are made by contact, the image format corresponds to the format of the negative. His pictorial signature is recognizable by the contrasting lights, often against the light, with great importance given to the foreground, a very good depth of field and an absence of grain due to the large format and the printing without enlargement. This photo was taken in March 2005 at the Pointe du Grouin, it is framed with a dark oak strip, under glass. Annotation and signature on the back. The print is numbered 25/30.
