Tecla table lamp by noti massari for leucos spa - murano italy - 1965 a great classic of italian design, the tecla lamp is entirely handmade and mouth-blown in the murano glass workshops. The lamp is sublime, perfectly intact. Noti massari (1939 — ) venetian by birth, culture and election, graduated in architecture in 1967 in the class of carlo scarpa (1906 – 1978). He had his first experiences at the fratelli toso 1854 glassworks, a pioneer in the revival of artistic glasswork after the decadence of the venetian republic. He collaborated with many italian design companies, designing lighting and furniture projects for vistosi, artemide, foscarini, stilwood, venini and leucos. He participates in numerous conferences and exhibitions such as at the palazzo grassi and the querini stampalia foundation in venice, in group exhibitions at the louvre museum in paris, at the moma and the corning glass museums in new york. He has been awarded many times, including the first prize at the venice biennale, at the 12th edition of the milan triennale, at the national design competition in trieste… noti massari continues to push the boundaries of design, exploring new ideas and collaborations to create innovative products. His commitment to excellence and his ability to merge art and functionality continue to influence and inspire designers around the world.
