Large chest of drawers with a barocchetto shelf from Emilia, featuring the typically curved and rounded silhouette on the front and sides, which can open. Resting on cabriole legs, the belt under the top is shaped; it includes three drawers and two upper drawers side by side, beneath the top. The shelf has a grooved base with one drawer and a smaller drawer at the front: the upper part with glass panels at the front and sides was once used as a display case for a statue, which originally could only be accessed through a door at the back, but was modified in the 19th century by the addition of a wooden panel at the back, while a small door and a shelf were added at the front. Veneer of bird's-eye maple with walnut edges, interiors in poplar, bronze handles with pendants and spouts featuring a coat of arms depicting a pair of rampant lions surmounted by a double-headed eagle with the imperial crown.
