Elegant set of six Italian chairs produced by GESSEF (Consorzio Sedie Friuli), an important grouping of manufacturers from the Friuli region, a major hub for chair production in Italy during the 1960s and 1970s. These chairs illustrate the meeting of refined Italian design and Scandinavian influence that characterises part of the production from that era. The wooden structure, with delicately refined sections, appears almost suspended, while the woven rattan seat adds warmth, comfort, and authenticity. Their light silhouette allows them to be integrated into both contemporary interiors and more vintage or modernist decoration projects. The wood of the chairs has undergone complete restoration, the caning is in good condition and shows no broken strands.
