Mid-Century Nesting Tables by Victor Wilkins for G-Plan, United Kingdom, 1960s, Set of 3

This set of three teak coffee tables was designed by Victor Wilkins for the renowned British furniture manufacturer G-Plan during the 1960s. The set represents the Mid-Century Modern design characteristic of the period, combining an elegant form with a practical nesting solution that allows the two smaller tables to be stored neatly beneath the larger one. Particular attention is drawn to the wide solid teak edges of the tabletops, which create a distinctive frame and a subtle colour contrast with the central sections of the tops. The characteristic curved elements of the base give the construction a sense of visual lightness and a decorative, sculptural character. The set has undergone comprehensive woodworking restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating, stained in an oak colour, and finished with a durable high-quality semi-matt lacquer, which protects the surface while enhancing the natural grain of the wood. The set retains its original G-Plan maker’s label, confirming the manufacturer.
