Beautiful pair of Chinese armchairs in lacquered elm (late 19th century). * Wood: elm. * Origin: Shanxi. * Period: Late 19th century, early 20th century. Armchairs of a Chinese official with fine and streamlined lines. The delicacy of the curve of the backrest is noteworthy. The lacquer seems to have preserved them and gives them a superb patina, revealing the beautiful grain of the elm. Armchairs in very good condition.
