Round table made of popular oak, circa 1880. A unique piece, powerful and deeply expressive, a testament to the rural craftsmanship of the 19th century. Its wide circular top, made from thick planks of old oak, features a spectacular irregular edge, patinated by time. The tool marks, natural cracks, and brown-black hue give it a raw and sensual, almost sculptural appearance. The three-legged base connected by a triangular stretcher enhances its primitive and stable look, while emphasising its brutalist and authentic spirit. Each element breathes the artisan's touch and the nobility of the century-old wood. Fully restored and protected by a satin finish, this table retains the entirety of its original patina. It is perfectly envisioned as a display table in a contemporary shop or a concept store space with a wabi-sabi style — but it can just as easily become a characterful dining table in a unique interior.
