Large vintage Romanian wool carpet in Bakhtiari style

Very beautiful large vintage wool rug featuring a rich Persian design in the style of Bakhtiari rugs. The so-called "garden" design is compartmentalised, composed of numerous different floral and geometric patterns. A very lovely patinated colour palette: terracotta, brick red, cream, old rose, blue, green, and brown. The rug retains its old label indicating “ROMANIA – IMPORTED WOOL RUG, ” with its number 042396 and handwritten dimensions, as well as an old numbered lead still attached to the fringes. High-quality wool rug, with fringes extending from the structure. Beautiful density and very nice decorative work. Dimensions: 263 × 202 cm. Material: wool. Period: second half of the 20th century. Style: Persian / Bakhtiari. Very good overall condition for its age. Some normal signs of wear and time, particularly at the fringes, visible in the photos.
