Arc floor lamp Guzzini triangular base Carrara marble. Italy 1968.
Superb and rare arc floor lamp by Guzzini. The model with the triangular base made of Carrara marble was produced in limited quantities and offers excellent geometric stability to counterbalance the significant overhang of the cantilevered arc arm (up to 300 cm in span), while allowing for easier placement of the marble block in the corner of a room or against the foot of a sofa. The globe is made of white opal plexiglass with a diameter of 40 cm and is adjustable thanks to a ball joint. The original electrification is functional. In good condition, it has some signs of wear, notably corrosion that has spread on the marble (mostly on the internal faces) and lighter spots on the aluminium arc. These are more or less visible depending on the angle, here I have deliberately exposed these spots to a spotlight!
