Cup or "Vas de les Flora", Argerata ceramic from 1924 designed by Adolf Fargnoli and executed by Marco Quart Gerona. Referenced in the book “Adolf Fargnoli (1890-1951) from Noucentisme to the Avant-garde” by Pilar Vélez. Adolf Fargnoli Ianetta (La Bisbal d’Empordà, 1890 – Barcelona, 1951) was a cabinetmaker and goldsmith within the circle of artists and craftsmen who became known in Girona around the figure of architect Rafael Masó, alongside sculptors Fidel Aguilar and Jaume Busquets, among others. Based in Girona and later in Barcelona, Adolf Fargnoli gained significant recognition, particularly for his small boxes, chests, little containers, and carved wooden jewellery, often worked in fire and in which he embedded ceramic pieces, ivory, stones, or metals, naming them with poetic titles. He held solo exhibitions in Catalonia and throughout Spain, as well as in various cities across Europe and America. At the base is the stamp of the ceramist Marcó Quart Gerona. It measures 17.5 cm in height and 11.5 cm in diameter. Well preserved except for a touch on the lower part and another at the top (see photos).
