Menhir refers to the upright stones placed by prehistoric peoples in Celtic areas 4, 000 to 6, 000 years ago. Each piece is build on a wooden base. "Mortex", a Belgian premium plaster known for its durability in demanding applications, is applied by hand in several layers. The table is completely hand sanded for a smooth and soft to the touch finish. After this artisanal process the surface is sealed with a 2-component coating which makes it stain & scratch resistant and very easy to maintain. Thanks to its versatile and timeless character, the table integrates easily into a wide range of interior styles: from wabi-sabi and japandi to brutalism, minimalism, or contemporary design. Available in more than 80 colors. Samples are recommended, as slight variations in tone and texture are inherent to the artisanal process and the living nature of the material.
