Description
Painting le panier garni by elie lascaux, 1947, in perfect condition, 73x58x2 cm. Elie lascaux came to painting while living in montmartre and rubbed shoulders with max jacob and suzanne valadon in the early 1910s. He fought in the great war and then met daniel-henri kahnweiler who became his merchant. During the "sundays of boulogne" – a social salon organized by daniel-henri kahnweiler at his home in boulogne from 1921 to 1927 – he met béro (berthe) godon, the sister of lucie, wife of kahnweiler. He marries her and they have a daughter: germaine. Her godfather is paulo picasso, son of picasso and olga khokhlova.
