Rare old oval dish in marian blue earthenware, pale blue monogrammed m (and may be another letter) from a castle in the dauphiné. Period second half XIX. Stamped by the english manufacture brown westhead moore & co specialized in the production of services including many pieces for castles and hostelry. The factory also offered the possibility of personalizing its pieces of crockery with the cipher, coat of arms, motto of its noble buyers. Distributed in france by m chanut 35 rue tronchet paris but also at the crystal staircase with etruscan vase...
