Bronze sculpture with a brown patina representing a hunting dog on point, its head lowered towards prey at its feet. Expressive modelling and careful anatomy, finely crafted tail and legs. Oval base made of a black marble base and a gilded brass plate. Not signed. Style and workmanship characteristic of 19th-century French animal sculpture, in the tradition of the bronzers of the Romantic era.
