Swedish teak sideboard produced by Ulferts in Tibro between the 1950s and 1960s. The cabinet, raised on tall tapered legs connected by stretchers, features two sliding doors with recessed vertical handles. Inside, shelves and two drawers complete the storage space. Produced in Sweden by Ulferts, the historic Tibro manufacturer, between the 1950s and 1960s, this teak sideboard is distinguished by its horizontal proportions and particularly refined construction. The cabinet rests on a wooden base with tall tapered legs, connected by stretchers that converge towards the centre, creating a subtle angular profile. The front is defined by two wide sliding doors, framed by wooden profiles and fitted with long vertical recessed handles carved directly into their edges. The sliding system allows the doors to overlap, alternatively revealing the different internal compartments. The storage space includes shelves and, in one compartment, two shallow stacked drawers, constructed with dovetail joints and semicircular finger pulls. The gently rounded edges of the structure and the continuous profiles outlining the cabinet complete a design consistent with Scandinavian production of the period. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG167.
