Vintage Berber rug 200 x 285

Wonderful Berber rug from the 1960s. Cream-coloured pile with patterns in orange, beige and brown tones. Hand-knotted, approx. 40, 000 knots per m2. Age 50-60 years. 100% wool. Made in Morocco. Good condition with slight signs of wear. All our carpets are cleaned in a professional carpet laundry. The first step of cleaning is thorough beating to remove dust and possibly mites. The subsequent pre-wash with a pH-neutral soap removes stains. During the main wash, the carpet is thoroughly washed by hand with a special soap that protects the fibres and preserves the natural wool grease. Machine pressing and spinning is used for initial dewatering, after which the carpets are dried hanging with constant air circulation.
