Vintage square coffee table in glass and brass by Peter Ghyzcy

This beautiful vintage coffee table was designed in 1979 by the famous german architect and designer peter ghyczy. The table, model t24/3, features a thick glass tray on four feet made of solid brass. The feet have beautifully detailed patterns. The tray is made of "floatglass": a method by which the molten glass was poured over the molten metal and "floated" until cool enough to be hard enough to work with. The feet are made in a sand mold and keep their traces "brutalist". A rare and unique piece. In very good condition, with some imperfections on the sides of the glass tray and traces on the feet. The feet are disassembled for easy transport. Dimensions: 70 X 70cm. Shelf thickness: 1.5cm. Plateau height: 43cm.
