A true wall gem. This square mirror framed with glazed ceramic tiles in warm, bright tones is an emblematic piece of the work of Mithe Espelt, a discreet but essential French artist of 20th-century decorative design. Produced between the 1960s and 1970s in her Lunel workshop, her mirrors are now highly sought after by collectors for their poetry, finesse and unique palette. Designer: Mithe Espelt Period: circa 1970 Materials: glazed ceramic and mirror Colors: shades of rust, amber, ochre and honey Dimensions: approximately 23.5 X 24 cm (handcrafted and therefore irregular) Condition: excellent vintage condition Signature: unsigned like most of her works, but the green felt is recognizable.
