Glass pendant "Wave" / " Anemone" by Peill & Putzler

Glass pendant by peill & putzler. This model is known as "futura pendant" but is also referred to as "wave" or "anemone" due to its shape. This version has a handblown smoked “topaz” crystal glass with brass parts and is in perfect condition. Designed & produced in the years 60-70 and still looks very contemporary thanks to its simplicity and beautiful elegant lines. Thanks to the transparant crystal glass the wavy lines are clearly visible. Very stylish with a gold mirror lightbulb (not included). No surprise it won a if (international forum) design award in 1975. This lamp is often attributed to the american lighting company koch & lowy. They sold a very similar lamp with the name "maelstrom" but probably they used the peill & putzler crystal glass and used their own parts which are slightly different. Peill & putzler was founded in 1947 after glashüttenwerk peill und sohn, specialized in handblown crystal glass, joined forces with the lighting company putzler. During the 50's peill & putzler kept producing glass for other european lighting companies such as raak in the netherlands and massive in belgium. Specs: height: 28 cm. Total lenght: 90cm.
