Vintage Italy red orange black ceramic ashtray 1970 Bitossi for Raymor

This is undoubtedly an ashtray given the 4 notches intended to place cigarettes. But as it is of a size rarely seen for an ashtray, it could serve as a fruit dish, empty pocket or simple decoration: 25.5 cm in diameter. It is ceramic with trendy colors: black, red and orange. This is not an industrially molded part but a manual work; it is marked/printed in relief "italy" on its base. Designer bitossi. It is clean, without dents or chips and the enamel is still shiny. These pieces were manufactured by bitossi for raymor (raymor was the importer in the united states of luxury italian or scandinavian decorative objects). My piece no longer has its sticker but I was able to find another identical model from the same period but in brown which still had it. Please note, only the red model is for sale (the other is for illustration only).
