A 1950s children's shell chair. Designed by Dirk Van Sliedregt for the Dutch furniture manufacturer Rohé Noordwolde. The rattan seat and metal base have been painted cream. There is some minor damage to the rattan on the seat, but this does not detract from its sturdiness or the comfort of the chair when used with a cushion.
