A large, imposing twin-handled ceramic vase by the German manufactory Dumler & Breiden, dating from the 1970s — a fine example of the celebrated West German "Fat Lava" pottery of the era. The vase features the characteristic thick, textured lava glaze in tones of grey and brown, with a creamy speckled neck flowing into a richly mottled body. A bold floral relief motif adorns each side, while the two sculptural handles give the piece its amphora-like, monumental presence. The generous proportions make it a real eye-catcher. A striking decorative statement for a console, sideboard, fireplace, or floor display — beautiful on its own or with a dramatic dried arrangement. Condition: Very good condition, with minor traces of use. Dimensions: H 41 cm × W 32 cm × D 26 cm. Maker: Dumler & Breiden, West Germany.
