This is a French Rococo style bed frame, probably a Polish bed or a classic basket bed, characterised by a very particular aesthetic. The most striking element is the upholstery fabric. This pattern is known as Toile de Jouy (often simply called "Toile"). It typically features a white or off-white background with a repeated romantic pastoral scene (such as farmers, picnics, or floral compositions) printed in a single colour — in this case, a classic madder red. The woodwork reflects the Louis XV style (Rococo), which emphasised comfort, elegance, and soft lines. Sold with the bedspread and the pillow headboard in Toile de Jouy.
