Painting made in oil on embedded canvas, not signed but entitled on the back of the artist's hand: "women on the beach in hendaye", work from the sale of estate of marcelle guetta-fattal (1922-2009) - see attached bio. Very beautiful craftsmanship - we find in his touch of fauvism, the cubist influence up to expressionism but also nudes of matisse. Good state of conservation. Very early on, she felt the need to express herself through art. Friend of marcel laurent salinas, lawyer, but especially painter, and friend himself of andré lhôte, then picasso (with whom he collaborates), and many others, she is bathed in the cultural movement of the 40s and 50s. She lived in alexandria, which was, at that time, a cosmopolitan city where various artists rubbed shoulders, in a prestigious setting called: the alliance française, which allows creators to meet, and to participate in all important events, including, for example, the 3rd alexandria biennial, in the years 1958, under the presidency of nasser. Very quickly, marcelle guetta is noticed, appreciated and becomes a rising star in alexandria. Unfortunately, in the following years, egyptian politics led to massive departures to other destinations, the united states, canada, europe, where marcelle guetta, who became "guetta fattal", chose with her family to settle. She will remain in france, in paris, where she will continue her artistic activity through painting and sculpture, participating in many exhibitions, until the end of her life, without ever stopping. Marcelle guetta fattal died in paris, 29 november 20.
