Very beautiful Ring A 400 desk lamp by Bruno Gecchelin for Arteluce. Italy 1979. Structure in grey lacquered metal. Chrome metal details. The long, angled arm supports a reflector, the first part of which pivots from left to right, at 180 degrees. The second part, which holds the bulb, tilts in its position and pivots at 380 degrees. This provides various aesthetic possibilities and allows for the orientation of light. A perforated metal plate partially covers the bulb to dissipate the heat produced. Beautiful dimensions: Height up to 42 cm. Width 60 cm. Depth 29 cm. In very good condition. A few micro scratches, nothing significant. Please contact us with any questions. Fast and very careful shipping. Bruno Gecchelin: Born in Milan in 1939, Bruno Gecchelin graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic School of Milan. Since 1962, he has designed furniture, decorative objects, and lighting. Among his most significant professional experiences are the design of office machines and electronics for Olivetti, first in collaboration with Ettore Sottsass, then solo, accessories for the Fiat Panda, and air conditioning systems for Riello. He has also worked for other companies such as Fratelli Guzzini, Frau, Arteluce, Indesit, Busnelli, Shipper, Antonangeli, Ycami, Venini, and Magneti Marelli. His work has been awarded numerous prizes, the most prestigious being the "Lampada D'Oro" in 1980, the BIO/Ljubljana in 1982 and 1988, and the Compasso D'Oro in 1989 and 1991. He has specifically worked with Oluce since 1968, and in 1985, this collaboration was marked by a nomination for the Compasso d'Oro for the Personal table lamp.
