Zoomorphic fish-shaped slipcase in slipware, Vallauris

Here is a very pretty and large fish-shaped bowl with beautiful glazing in shades of brown, caramel mustard, white, and even small touches of red amidst the flame-like, foamy center. It could be used in many ways: as a fruit bowl or for sliced bread on a table, as a large catchall in an entryway or on the living room table, or simply as a decorative bowl on a piece of furniture, or even as wall art (but it will need a sturdy hanging system as this bowl is quite heavy, around 1.7 kg). Another point to note is its openwork design, which makes it easy to grip and adds a touch of elegance to the fish. It is not marked "Vallauris," but given its fish shape and glazing, it is reasonable to assume that it comes from that region and dates from the 1970s. It is in good condition, with just a small chip, fortunately not excessively noticeable as it is located on the rim and is barely visible when the bowl is standing upright. This bowl measures 39 cm in length, 32 cm in width, and has a maximum height of 8 cm.
